Dans le paysage entrepreneurial actuel, dominé par l’IA, les analystes métier jouent un rôle essentiel pour traduire des besoins métier complexes en solutions technologiques exploitables. Dans cette interview franche, un consultant expérimenté nous raconte son parcours en analyse métier, automatisation et adoption de l’IA, au sein de banques internationales, d’équipes transverses et de technologies émergentes.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Q : Comment a commencé votre parcours dans l’analyse d’affaires ?<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/h2>\n

J’ai débuté ma carrière comme analyste d’affaires dans une multinationale, immédiatement après l’obtention de mon diplôme. L’analyse d’affaires se situe à la croisée des chemins technologiques et non technologiques, offrant la possibilité de travailler avec des outils de pointe comme l’intelligence artificielle (IA), tout en résolvant des problèmes métier et en collaborant avec diverses parties prenantes. Mon premier projet concernait la conformité et l’automatisation au sein du service KYC (Know Your Customer), en utilisant le langage SQL (Structured Query Language) et Python.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Q : Qu’est-ce qui vous a poussé à vous lancer dans le conseil aux États-Unis ?<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/h2>\n

Après deux ans au sein de la multinationale, j’ai obtenu un master en gestion de l’ingénierie à l’université Carnegie Mellon afin d’approfondir mes compétences et d’élargir mon champ d’expertise. Après l’obtention de mon diplôme, j’ai occupé un poste de consultant dans le secteur financier, collaborant avec de nombreux clients ces dernières années. Le conseil m’a semblé idéal : j’aime être impliqué dès le premier jour et résoudre des problèmes concrets dans des environnements à enjeux élevés.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Q : Votre rôle consistait-il uniquement en une analyse commerciale ou incluait-il également des responsabilités liées aux produits ?<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/h2>\n

Bien que mon titre soit analyste d’affaires, plusieurs de mes fonctions incluaient des responsabilités de gestion de produits. J’ai défini les exigences des outils internes basés sur l’IA, recueilli les besoins des utilisateurs et piloté la mise en œuvre avec les équipes d’ingénierie. En ce sens, mon rôle d’analyste d’affaires a toujours été axé sur la maîtrise d’ouvrage.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Q : Vous avez travaillé dans plusieurs institutions financières. Comment votre approche de l’analyse d’affaires a-t-elle évolué au fil des ans ?<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/h2>\n

Les principes fondamentaux sont restés les mêmes : compréhension des exigences, adéquation aux besoins métier et facilitation de la livraison. Cependant, chaque client et chaque projet apportent des outils, des technologies et des attentes uniques. Chez mon premier client, je me suis principalement concentré sur Excel, VBA, SQL et Power BI pour la résolution de problèmes basée sur les données. Par la suite, je me suis concentré sur l’automatisation et le développement de solutions d’IA générative utilisant Microsoft Power Platform, notamment Power Automate et Power Apps.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Q : En parlant d’IA, pouvez-vous partager un cas d’utilisation récent où vous l’avez mise en œuvre ?<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/h2>\n

Chez mon client actuel, nous avons développé un outil de gestion des incidents basé sur l’IA, utilisant Microsoft Copilot et Power Apps. Cet outil a permis d’automatiser les flux de travail répétitifs et de fournir des suggestions contextuelles basées sur l’historique des incidents, ce qui a permis de réduire de 20 % les délais de résolution. J’ai également utilisé Copilot pour gérer les requêtes Power Automate, rédiger des documents de politique et même contribuer à la documentation des procédures internes.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Q : Quels sont les outils et plateformes avec lesquels vous travaillez régulièrement ?<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/h2>\n

Les outils que j’ai utilisés varient selon les projets, mais incluent Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SQL, Visio, JIRA et Tableau. Je nettoie généralement les données avec SQL, crée des tableaux de bord dans Power BI et collabore avec des outils comme Confluence et SharePoint. Pour les workflows liés aux incidents, j’ai également travaillé avec Microsoft 365 et Nintex.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Q : Comment vous assurez-vous que les tableaux de bord et les rapports que vous créez sont utiles aux parties prenantes de l’entreprise ?<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/h2>\n

Simplicité et clarté sont essentielles. Je commence par collaborer étroitement avec les parties prenantes afin de comprendre les indicateurs qui comptent le plus pour elles. Je veille à ce que les tableaux de bord utilisent des visualisations appropriées, des palettes de couleurs cohérentes (par exemple, le vert pour les tendances positives) et des présentations intuitives. Des données claires constituent la base, et je les standardise via SQL ou Python avant la visualisation. La cohérence des catégories, des libellés et des formats est essentielle à la production d’analyses précises.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Q : Comment gérez-vous la collecte des exigences dans des environnements agiles et interfonctionnels ?<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/h2>\n

La documentation et la communication sont primordiales dès le départ. Je rédige des exigences détaillées, les confirme auprès des parties prenantes et utilise JIRA pour gérer les backlogs. Je prépare souvent des documents d’exigences métier (DEM) et les traduis en user stories techniques. Mon travail implique une étroite collaboration avec les chefs de projet, les architectes techniques et les développeurs.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Des compétences techniques, telles que SQL, Python, Tableau et Power BI, ainsi qu’une bonne connaissance des outils de visualisation comme Figma et Canva, sont essentielles à la réussite. Côté compétences relationnelles, une pensée structurée, une communication claire, la curiosité et l’écoute des parties prenantes sont essentielles, notamment dans les environnements transverses.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Q : Comment restez-vous au courant des technologies en constante évolution comme l’IA générative ?<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/h2>\n

Je reste connecté aux communautés internes au travail (par exemple, les groupes d’utilisateurs Copilot et AI), je consulte les discussions Reddit et je lis activement des articles en ligne. Je suis également des certifications et des formations sur des plateformes comme LinkedIn Learning, Microsoft Learn et Udemy. Rester curieux et proactif fait toute la différence.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Q : Un dernier conseil pour les consultants ou les aspirants BA qui ciblent des postes dans les services financiers aux États-Unis ?<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/h2>\n

Acquérez une expérience concrète. La théorie a ses limites ; les projets pratiques utilisant des outils d’IA ou des plateformes de reporting font toute la différence lors des entretiens. Les recruteurs recherchent souvent des exemples concrets de résolution de problèmes, alors pratiquez et développez vos compétences. Une bonne connaissance d’outils comme Copilot, Power BI et SQL, ainsi qu’une expérience de plateformes comme Microsoft 365 et SharePoint, peuvent vous démarquer.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n
